Milverton is a beautiful village in the vale of Taunton Deane in Somerset. It is four miles north of Wellington and eight miles west of Taunton, set in a rolling, rural, mainly agricultural landscape. It is served with a general groceries shop (Milverton Stores), a Post Office, a hairdressers and the Globe Inn offering good food and accommodation to a high standard. It has excellent links with the M5 being just four and a half miles away and a mainline train station eight miles away. The area is served with two airports, Exeter and Bristol, both with international flights throughout the week. There are three bus services running through the village, the 25 and the 25b (First) and the 9 (Cooks) service. The 25 and 25b alternate on the hour thereby giving the village an hourly service to Taunton, Monday through Saturday, with a two hourly Sunday service as well. The 9 service from Cooks coaches provides a service to Wellington and Wiveliscombe throughout the week but not on Sundays.

Milverton Church Fete Saturday July 12th
The Milverton church fete will take place at Hendys Field, Parsonage Lane, Saturday 12th July at 2pm. There is a western theme this year with a special display by the 'The Big W Wild West Group' featuring a spectacular display of Cowboys and Indians in period dress from the early west. Join in the fun and dress in western clothes. Please support the stalls by giving bottles, cakes, plants, sweets, books, items for the tombola and old crockery. Contact 01823 400830 or 07812363309.
Wivey Brewfest 2009 July 25/26
Once again Wiveliscombe will host Brewfest. The dates are 25/26 July 2009, at Kingsmead Community School, Wiveliscombe, Somerset.
There will be loads of live music,amazing food, beers from local brewers Cotleigh and Exmoor Ales,who will supply 20 different beers. Wine will be supplied by the Wine Shed at Wiveliscombe. Moorkhana will provide the event with the best in Indian cuisine. Fitzhead Venison and Wallaces at Hill Farm will between them keep all the carnivores happy. Coffee for Gossip and La Cucina del Sole will keep everyone supplied with the best coffee and paninis. Free Range Catering will keep cream teas, cakes and sandwiches flowing. Wivey Kebabs will also be there. The amazing "Something Else Tea Tent" will be there with drumming workshops and everything you need for a brilliant weekend. More stalls and fun to be confirmed.
