Press Release

Milverton Church to host BBC 'Any Questions?'

  jonathan-dimbleby

Friday, August 3rd should see the pews of Milverton Parish Church very well filled with the knowledgeable and curious, as this ancient Church hosts the long- running current affairs panel programme, 'Any Questions?'.

Chaired by Jonathon Dimbleby for over twenty years, the programme will bring a panel of eminent people to this part of Somerset for the first time in many years.

The panel will be answering questions which have been submitted by the audience on the day of the broadcast, and sifted by the producer, who selects ten questions across a broad spectrum, for the panel to discuss.  One of the stringent rules of the programme is that no-one on the panel has seen any of the questions before the broadcast.

Vicar Andrew Norris said “We are delighted that the Panel will be visiting Milverton and look forward to hearing a very stimulating discussion with some eminent panelists.”

The programme which currently has an audience of 1.5 million people, is broadcast live on the Friday evening, and repeated on Saturday lunch time, when it is followed by “Any Answers?”  which gives listeners a chance to join in the debate.
